An overheated freezer at the Five Points Acme in Levittown led to Bristol area’s first responders being called to action.
Edgely, Third District, Bristol Township Fire and Rescue, William Penn and Levittown #2 firefighters were dispatched to the 6800 New Falls Road supermarket for a reported building fire around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Fire crews arriving on the scene cleared the building and discovered smokey conditions in the back area of the supermarket, fire officials said.

Firefighters were seen checking the grocery store’s rooftop ventilation systems discovering no fire, fire officials said.
A group of about 10 Acme employees were working when the call for emergency services went out.
There were no injuries and first responders remained on the scene checking the functionality of other refrigeration units.
