Levittown Man Breaks Up with GF Then Robs Her Cell Phone, Thrashes Scooter

A 20-year-old Levittown man who broke up with his girlfriend is behind bars after he allegedly stole her cell phone because he believed she was talking to other men and also thrashed her scooter, according to police.

On Monday, July 13, 2026, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Bristol Township Police responded to the 50 block of Granite Road in Levittown to meet with a complainant who advised police that her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Agovino, was harassing her. 

According to court records, police spoke with the complainant who said Agovino broke up with her on June 2 after accusing her of having another boyfriend. They had been dating for approximately three years. The only contact she had with Agovino from June 2 to July 11 were phone calls from Agovino.

She told police she went to his residence to talk about the break-up on July 11 and while they were sitting in his bedroom he became angry and grabbed her cell phone again accusing her of talking to another man.

She got the cell phone back and hid it behind her back temporarily but Agovino wrestled it away from her again and exited the residence, keeping it above his head so she could not reach it, police said in court records.

Agovino smashed her cell phone on the porch. Afterwards, he allegedly smashed her scooter as he walked up the street, the complainant told police. He then threw the scooter into the Harry S Truman High School parking lot, police said.

She told police he now keeps “blowing her phone up.” She said she answered it one time and Agovino threatened to destroy the residence and disconnect the electricity, the probable cause alleges.

She advised police she also keeps seeing him drive past her house as well. Agovino operates a blue BMW convertible with a dark roof, said police in court records.

At 5:47 p.m. police responded to the 50 block of Greenbriar Road in Levittown to meet with a complainant who wanted to report being followed home by a male driving a blue BMW.

According to police, a complainant reported she was coming home from work at 6:30 p.m. and was driving on Grasspond Road. She said a blue BMW came “flying” off Granite Road. She said she blew her horn because the driver (  Agovino allegedly  was not paying attention. The BMW then stopped and she continued. She said the BMW then started to follow her. She made it home and the BMW pulled next to her. The male driver then rolled his window down and she did not. The BMW then pulled away. She entered her residence and was sitting out back with her husband and kept hearing a car horn blowing. She said they both came out front to find the BMW in front of their residence. The BMW then left and passed the residence several times driving erratically. The male then threw a cigarette container out of the window at her husband while he was in his driveway and then drove away.

Agovino was arrested on July 17 and arraigned on felony robbery, harassment, and criminal mischief charges. He  was sent to jail in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000 and has a hearing scheduled for August 4. He has no attorney of record listed as of publication time.
