A 32 year-old Philadelphia man has been charged with homicide and related offenses Sunday evening after turning himself into police allegedly admitting he shot and killed his girlfriend in Levittown.
On-call District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel arraigned Yujun Ren at 8 p.m. Sunday on homicide and related offenses. Ren was remanded to Bucks County Prison with no bail.
According to Bristol Township Police, Ren turned himself into Philadelphia Police at about 12:30 p.m Ren provided information that led police to a residence on Outlook Lane in Levittown, Bristol Township,.
Bristol Township Police responded to the location and found a deceased Asian female in a vehicle out front. Ren was subsequently charged with homicide and related charges.
This incident is domestic in nature, and a handgun has been recovered, police said.
Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan called Ren’s conduct “chilling” in revealing additional details from the investigation.
Our investigation, Khan said, revealed a chilling course of conduct. After the victim courageously reported a sexual assault to the Philadelphia Police Department on Saturday night and attempted to end the relationship, evidence showed Ren began stalking her vehicle in the early morning hours of Sunday.
“The evidence showed that he shot her in her vehicle” Khan said.
“Today’s tragic event is a sobering reminder of the lethal nature of domestic violence,” he added.
Investigators said the victim’s name is not being released pending family notification.
This case is being investigated by Bristol Township Police and Bucks County Detectives. Anyone with information about this case is being asked to contact Det. Emilyann Maialetti at 267-812-3024 or by email at Emaialetti179@bristolpd.org.
