“Another deadly accident at newportville road and Ritter last night. I’ve lived here 4 years and have seen at least 4 accidents. Two of them going through our house/fence. I have called and left a message for Tina Davis. We have asked for years for something to be done about this road. Please contact Tina Davis and let her know something must be done about this road,” said Laura Isaacson on the “What’s Up in Bristol Township” Meta Page.
Joey Campor, commenting on the same post, said, at the April 17 council meeting, a resident brought up concerns about speeding on Newportville road. General response was “this is a penndot road, penndot completed a study and found that speeding is not excessive on this road” which is obviously false if you sit and watch traffic for 5 minutes.. (note this is Penndot’s lack of due diligence but I think the town can do more to help such as speed enforcement). As a PennDot road there will never be speed bumps here but the township can better enforce the speed limit.

There were a good number of commenters who opined that the road is fine, motorists are the real issue.
Anyone who has information about this crash is asked to contact lead investigator Cpl. Andrew Stuart #183 at 267-812-3013 of The Bristol Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit. astuart183@bristolpd.org,, Cosgrove said.
