Pedestrian Injured in Croydon Accident

Last Friday, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Croydon and sent to Frankford Torresdale Hospital for injuries.

Bristol Township Police responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Bristol Pike and Newportville Road on Friday, May 24, 2024, at approximately 4:26 p.m., said police.

The preliminary investigation determined a black 2008 Toyota Solara was traveling east on Bristol Pike approaching the intersection with Newportville Road, according to police. A 38-year-old male was running south on Newportville Road attempting to cross Bristol Pike.

The Solara struck the pedestrian in the eastbound lane of Bristol Pike. The pedestrian was transported by Bucks County Rescue Squad to Frankford Torresdale Hospital. police said.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Bucks County Rescue Squad, Croydon Fire Company and Bristol Township Fire Police.
