A 41-year-old Philadelphian is now calling Bucks County Correctional Facility (BCCF) his new temporary home as he stands accused of flashing a knife during a fight, kicking two medics, attending to him, who had to be treated for injuries at Lower Bucks Hospital.
The fracas played out at the Family Services Emergency Shelter located at 7 Library Lane, in Levittown. Police responded to a report of men fighting with one reportedly brandishing a knife during the altercation, court records show.
Upon arrival the complainant identified Marqus Green as the man with a knife. Bristol Twp Police officers ordered Green to stop several times with negative results as he tried to flee the area. Green yelled, threatened and cursed at the police and others who were watching. When Green was finally stopped and taken into custody he said he was having trouble breathing. He said he was under the influence of drugs, according to the probable cause.
Rescue Squad medics who attended Green sustained injuries, police wrote in court papers. Green allegedly kicked one medic in the face and another in the wrist. Both sustained injuries that required medical treatment at Lower Bucks Hospital, authorities said.
Green was arraigned by On-call Justice Corryn L. Kronnagel on one felony count of aggravated assault, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and a summary public drunkenness charge. Kronnagel set bail at 10 percent of $150,000.00 which was reduced at a bail reduction hearing on Friday to 10 percent of $5,000.00. Green remains at BCCF despite the bail reduction and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 10, 2025. He has no attorney of record, according to online court documents.
