Bristol Township Police won’t exactly say why they towed 2020 model or later extended cab pickup truck away from a home in Croydon on Saturday night before midnight except to say it is part of an open and active investigations
“At this time we have several open investigations and can not release any information regarding them,” Bristol Township Police Sgt. Jason Mancuso said Monday morning in reference to the pictured pickup truck being towed away from a Philmont Avenue home Saturday night.
Officers on scene said reports of a vehicle chase followed by a man barricading himself after the chase are untrue.
Officers were observed speaking with two different women at separate times, one of which seemed to be handing off and receiving paperwork and/or legal documents.
A neighbor observing the police activity said the pickup truck owner lives in the home where it was parked.
A check of online court records revealed no arrests or arraignments for that judicial district beginning Saturday night and ending Monday morning in connection to a vehicle chase or, as some neighbors commented, a person brandishing a weapon and threatening someone.
First responder sources throughout Lower Bucks County who were contacted by the publication said they are uncertain whether the confiscation of the extended cab pickup truck is related to the arson investigation.
Investigators are not telling us anything, one high ranking fire official said.
The cause of the police confiscating the pickup truck from a Croydon street remains a mystery, as it is officially part of open investigations in Bristol Township.
