A reported shooting at the Levittown Wawa is under investigation by Bristol Township authorities as of Saturday morning.

Police confirmed, this morning, there was a shooting reported at the Wawa on the 3200 block of Bath Road Friday night with no victims located.

“I can confirm a response for an altercation with the report of a weapon being fired,” said Lt. Sean Cosgrove.

The number of individuals in the altercation and the motivating factor(s) were not released by police or are unknown as of this morning

Local tipsters reported the incident occurred between 8:30 and 9 p.m. They said the convenience store was swamped by police, shutting it down until late last night as officers collected evidence in and around the scene. A commenter on a Bristol Twp. social media page seemed to add fuel to the fire confirming police were responding to an “incident” that occurred in the store. The post was removed Saturday morning from the Metapage. Lower Bucks Source volunteer photographer Joe Nelson received a news tip within minutes of the alleged shooting incident from a source reporting there was gun fire .

Wawa stores are usually equipped with quite a few video cameras inside and outside the premises, a current Wawa employee from another location told Lower Bucks Source this morning.
