Rescue Squad Ambulance Totaled in Head-On Crash on New Falls Rd.

A local rescue squads truck was wrecked when a SUV hit it head on late Saturday night in the Fairless Hills section of Bristol Township, with no injuries reported and one person taken into custody. 

The wreck occurred around 12:45 a.m. in the area of New Falls and Wistar Roads when a dark colored SUV traveling north, crossed over into the southbound lane, colliding with a Levittown-Fairless Rescue Squad ambulance.

Observers on scene said the female operator of the SUV was placed in handcuffs by police and driven away. A Sunday morning review of online court documents showed no arrests filed as of 7 a.m in that Judicial District.
