The 37 year-old woman from Croydon who was struck on Rt 13 Thursday evening is in Lower Bucks Hospital in “serious condition” Bristol Township Police said Friday.
The woman was crossing Bristol Pike (RT 13) from the center median to the westbound lane, in an area that does not have a pedestrian crossing. She was struck by a Silver Jeep Latitude which was traveling in southbound lanes of Bristol Pike, just after 7 p.m. police said.
Police confirmed the driver did stop at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Witnesses at the scene on Thursday night told Lower Bucks Source the woman struck died as a result of the accident, and noted in the original story the death reports were ‘unconfirmed.’
A second witness said they saw first responders performing life sustaining procedures on the scene.

A woman was reportedly struck and killed on Rt 13 in Bristol Township Thursday night attempting to pull someone out of the road witnesses told Lower Bucks Source.
The accident occurred on the 1600 block of Bristol Pike around 7:30 p.m. No official has confirmed the death as of Thursday night but witnesses on scene said “she’s gone.”
One passerby, after the woman was struck said a pocketbook with personal items was strewn across the roadway.
Bristol Township Police and the Levittown- Fairless Hills Rescue Squad responded to the accident a short time after it happened.
One witness, who was driving by before traffic was redirected, said they saw rescue personnel engaged in life sustaining efforts on the struck woman.

The roadway has been closed since the accident and at last check investigators are still on the scene collecting evidence and statements.
The striking driver remained at the accident scene after the incident and was seen speaking to police, sources told LBS.
There has been local outcry about accidents and people being struck on the busy roadway in recent months.
In June Daniel Santiago, a Bristol Borough Fire Fighter was struck and killed in a hit and run that has yet to be solved in the same area as tonight’s reported fatality.
On Wednesday Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for Santiago’s killer.
In July a woman pedestrian was struck and killed in Bristol Borough in the area of 200 Bristol Pike.
In August a mother and her infant son were struck on the 600 block of Bristol Pike, sending both to the hospital in critical condition. Both victims have since been released
County, state and local officials have been working together on ways to make the Rt 13 safer for pedestrians and motorists with officials from Penn DOT. Nothing official has been agreed upon yet.
