State Police Investigating Death in Bristol Twp

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of a man who was found with a tree on top of him Friday in Bristol Township

Police were dispatched just after midnight to an area behind Bristol Gardens apartment complex and adjacent to I-95.

An investigative spokesperson for Troop M Trevose said the death doesn’t appear to be of a suspicious nature at this point. The inquiry is active and ongoing.

Bristol Township first responders were dispatched to the scene to chainsaw away the tree laying upon the unidentified victim.

Sources familiar with that section of Bristol said there is a homeless encampment nearby  which the victim could have been living in.

The victim was transferred to the custody of Bucks County Coroner’s office where an autopsy will be performed to determine cause and manner of death.
