SUV Takes Out Pole on Bath Rd.

Bath Road still remains closed to traffic entering from Rt 13  this afternoon after a green four door SUV slammed into a power line poll earlier this morning across the street from Lower Bucks Hospital.

The struck pole is leaning at about a 45 degree angle, with lives wires dangerously hanging low over the busy roadway.

Witnesses to the accident say the operator of the SUV fled the scene after the crash.  Bristol Township Police did not respond to a request for comment on the accident as of 1:45 pm.

PECO officials also have yet to release any information on the impacts from the accident when they expect repair work on the utility pole is expected to be completed, but a work crew is on the scene.

Motorists might want to seek alternative driving routes until the accident is cleared and pole damage attended too.

 

Original Story 

A one vehicle accident in the area of Lower Bucks Hospital has slowed traffic Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred when a SUV slammed into what appears to be a utility pole at around 9 am this morning in the area of Bath Road and Old Orchard Lane.

Bristol Township Police along with local first responders are on the scene.

Motorists in the area say Bath Road has been reduced to one lane for the time being. Drivers might want to seek alternative driving routes in the until the accident is cleared.

No injuries have been reported and there is no additional information available as this time

    That did not happen at 9 am..I passed it at 5.15 am this morning..sad how reporters can’t even get it RIGHT.
