Tuesday’s Levittown Fire was “Accidental” Fire Marshal Says

A Tuesday mid morning fire in the Crabtree section of Levittown was determined to be accidental fire officials say.

Fire crews from Edgely 10, Levittown Squirt and Rescue 13, Fairless Hills Rescue 31, William Penn Engine 77 and the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad with Bristol Township Fire Rescue 225 were dispatched to the 70 block of Coral Lane just after 10 a.m. Monday. There were several reports of thick smoke showing and fire coming from the roof of according to Emergency Services Reporter Ron Roberts.

Firefighters established a water supply at from a neighboring residence, went into service with multiple handline’s  to knock down the flames and placed under control, Roberts who was on scene,s said.

The fire was accidental. It started on the back patio and extended up the back wall into the knee-wall and attic said Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.

Dippolito said there were no injuries.
