Andre Jamal Hall, 19 of Pottstown was arraigned Monday night, by District on-call Judge Terrence Hughes on one count of felony flight, one count felony gun possession without a license, resisting arrest and related offenses. Hughes set his bail at 10 percent of $250,000.00 and he was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility with his next court date scheduled for September 11.
Hall, according to court records, was operating a grey Nissan Ultima, which had “extreme sun screening” on the windows and a non functioning center tail light which led police to initiate a traffic stop at the Wawa as previously reported.
While speaking with Hall, police noticed what appeared to be a marijuana “Blunt” in the center cup holder. Hall admitted to the responding officer that it was a “Blunt” and could not produce insurance documents. Hall started to walk away from the officer, despite several commands to stop, police wrote in court papers. Hall reached for his waistband, and officers tried to detain him, however he continued to defy police directives and was subsequently tased, Again he reached for his pants waistband, officers were able to restrain the arm and a semi-automatic handgun with 30 round magazine was removed from his pants. He was taken into custody after fighting with officers for a few more minutes, court records show.
Police ran a data check to see if Hall possesses a concealed carry permit and a permit to carry the weapon, the search revealed he owns neither. The gun serial number was also scratched off, according to the probable cause.

A traffic stop by Bristol Township Police in the Wawa parking lot on State Road led to some high drama Monday afternoon arresting a man in possession of a gun after a brief foot chase.
Police, at around 2:30 pm, pulled an unidentified vehicle over in the Croydon Wawa parking lot for a traffic stop.. Officers began to speak with the unidentified male when they noticed narcotics and the driver fled on foot, but quickly stopped him as a brief struggle ensued, Sgt Jason Mancuso said and police recovered a firearm from the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody safely, Mancuso said emphasizing “there is no threat to our community at this time.
The suspect has yet to be officially identified by police as of 4:30 p.m,. Monday, however, Lower Bucks Source expects to obtain that information in the next 24 hours or so.
