Original Story

A 25 year-old Levittown woman who apparently has never been in trouble before, is facing some serious charges after she allegedly attacked her husband with a knife and pan last week.

At just after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday September 24, Bristol Township Police received a call from Capital Health in Trenton, New Jersey regarding an assault victim. Hospital nursing staff were advised to have the victim meet with officers at police headquarters on Bath Road.  A little more than an hour later the victim arrived to sit down with police  for an interview. Capital Health documents show he was diagnosed with abrasion and contusion injuries and swelling from the attack, according to court records/

The victim told police, when he arrived at his Levittown home from work at 6:30 p.m. the night before, he said  his wife was agitated due in part to a separation discussion they had. He said that conversation was making her unhappy, the interviewing officer wrote in court paperwork. Continuing,. he said, his wife, Veanna Ingram, attacked him unprovoked, punching him in the face which split his lip, causing bleeding and swelling. The husband said his wife then stalked him throughout house threatening him and grabbing a large kitchen knife and brandishing it.  She swiped at him with the knife contacting the victim’s upper left arm causing a small contusion, he said, She swung the knife a second time  leaving a cut on the inner part of his left hand close to his pinky, police wrote in the probable cause.

The victim told police, according to police, on September 22 (the night before the  knife attack)  his wife slammed him in the left forearm with a cooking pan, which left him in severe pain and caused swelling to the arm.

Ingram was charged aggravated assault, simple assault and related offenses. She was arraigned  and sent to Bucks County Jail posting bond  the following day of 10 percent of $50,000 by a professional bondsman.  She is due back in court on October 9 for a preliminary hearing.  As of publication time, Ingram does not have an attorney of record listed on the court records.
