A motorcyclist with an active arrest warrant fled a Bristol Township Police traffic stop Saturday morning is now at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital being treated for the injuries he suffered after he crashed.
The Bristol Township Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a wanted subject operating a motorcycle at approximately 1045 a.m. this morning, police said.
The male operating the motorcycle fled from the traffic stop and was traveling north on Veterans Highway. While fleeing, the rider proceeded through a steady red traffic signal, and the front end of the motorcycle made contact with the rear of an uninvolved vehicle, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected, Lt. Patrick Kitchenman, said.
He was wearing a helmet, and was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment for his injuries, Kitchenman, said.

The truck and motorcycle both sustained moderate damage, said authorities.
Bristol Township Police were assisted by Bucks County Rescue Squad and Bristol Township Fire Police.
