Water Main Break Sends Students Home, Repairs in Process

A water main break in Levittown is causing a school to send home all of its students Tuesday morning.

The breakage is across the street from Harry S. Truman High School on Green Lane in Bristol Township.

The breakage was reported to occur shortly before 9 am.

School District officials announced shortly there after, all students would be sent home for the day, while repairs are made.

Work crews from the Lower Bucks Joint Municipal Authority are reportedly on scene, assessing  the break, a source said.

Motorists should avoid the area while crews work to repair the main,.

The cause of the water main giving out is unknown at press time. As new information comes in will update this story.
