April Precha the woman who was frustrated by her inability to obtain a new SNAP EBT card in September of 2024 and fired gunshots on the Bucks County Assistance office on Veterans Highway and taunted police pursuing her on social media was sentenced to state prison time after entering a pre-trial conference-guilty plea this past summer.
Bucks County Court of Common Pleas Judge Charissa J. Liller sentenced Precha to no less than 33 months and no more than 5 1/2 years in state prison. Precha was given time served credit for about 10 months time served during the late July sentencing hearing.
Precha as part of the guilty plea (to felony weapons charges and one count of misdemeanor terroristic threats) was ordered by Judge Liller to:

Take Medication as Prescribed
Mental Health Treatment
To Be Employed Full Time within 60 Days of Her Release
Not to Own or Possess Firearms
Continue with Mental Health Treatment in Prison
Take work courses in Prison
According to police, on September 18, 2024 at 9:06 a.m., Bristol Township Police were dispatched for a report of a disorderly person at the Bucks County Assistance Office, 1214 Veterans Highway.
Investigators determined Precha fired shots at the County Assistance building shattering a window and then fled on foot, according to court records. A bullet fragment and a gun holster were located near the front door entrance way only a few feet away from where security officers observe and manage pedestrian and foot traffic into the office building.
Precha “Snapped Out” after being told the SNAP EBT card she said was stolen from her could not be replaced because she lacked a home address.

While police blanketed the area searching for Precha she taunted police by posting to her Meta page several times overnight.
“Police u tell me if i am running” with a photo of Bristol Township Police cruisers nearby.
She eventually surrendered herself to Bristol authorities without incident.
After the incident DHS instituted increased security protocols – such as body wand searches – prior to the customer assistance window. In addition, a second security professional was added to assist at the site entrance.
