Cops: Couple Enjoying Drinks Leads to Boyfriend Charged with Strangulation, Assault Falls Twp

A 38 year-old Langhorne man in the custody of Bucks County authorities after a night of enjoying drinks with his turned violent, according to Falls Township Police.

On April 25, 2026 at approximately 2:23 a.m., Falls Township Police were dispatched to a report of an assault in the 80 block of Everturn Lane.

Upon arriving on scene, police were told by the victim that she and her boyfriend Daniel Hernandez Jr. were drinking together and intoxicated. The couple was involved in a verbal argument when she told Hernandez Jr he needed to leave. She said he had become angry with her and punched her in the face multiple times.

Hernandez Jr.,  according to the complainant,  choked her until she passed out. The woman said  when she woke up Hernandez Jr., was raping her.

Police observed red bruising  on both cheeks and noted face, several  scrapes on her arms and legs as well as blood all over her face and body, according to the probable cause.

Hernandez Jr is charged with felony strangulation, simple assault and a related offense.  He was remanded to the custody of Bucks County Correctional in lieu of 10 percent  $100,000.00 bail. He is scheduled for July 1 preliminary hearing  and is represented by Anthony Francis Godshall, Esq. of Philadelphia.
