The Falls Township Fire Marshal is still looking to speak with potential witnesses connected to a July fire in the Elderberry section of the township believed to be caused by fireworks the night after Independence Day, identifying one specific woman he believes has specific knowledge of the type of fireworks used.
“I have interviewed multiple neighbors, and I would like to speak to a woman, believed to be in her 30’s, who was driving a sedan, red in color, which stopped at the residence just as the fire broke out. A neighbor who I interviewed stated she spoke to her briefly and that she may have some additional information on the suspected firework. If you know who this person is, or if the person is reading this, please contact me at 215-949-9115, or via email at r.dippolito@fallstwp.com. Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said.
“This person is not a suspect but may have some information that could help in the investigation,” the fire marshal said.
If you know who the suspects are that shot off the fireworks, please contact me at the above email and number as soon as possible. Please share this post on your social media pages.

The fire broke out at 9:35 p.m. Levittown Fire Co. #1, along with Fairless Hills, Levittown #2, and Tullytown Fire Companies were dispatched to the Levittown home for a dwelling fire. Morrisville, Falls, Edgely, and Third District fire companies were also dispatched to assist, as well as the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad who stood by. Upon arrival the fire department reported a home with a heavy fire showing. They met with the homeowners who stated everyone was out of the dwelling. No residents or firefighters were injured, fire officials said.
During the subsequent fire investigation, it is believed that a firework was shot off in the vicinity. It flew through the front window and ignited the fire. The homeowners, who were home at the time of the fire, attempted to extinguish the fire while neighbors called 9-1-1. However, the fire grew too intense and the owners had to evacuate the home, Dippolito said.
