A Las Vegas woman is now a guest at Bucks County Jail accused of failing to return leased equipment from Home Depot valued at about $24,000.00 in a fraud/theft case.

According to the court filing, an employee from National Retrieval Solutions (a private inspector for Home Depot went into Falls Township Police Headquarters to file a complaint on behalf of the home remodeling company. Falls authorities were provided copies of the equipment rental agreement for a 1900 Mini Skid Steer (serial #414531558) valued at $19,564.00, and a trailer (VIN/5631F1412LM001939), valued at $3,472.33, bearing South Carolina registration “94858PT”. The rental agreement was executed on November 17, 2024 and the equipment was expected the following day.

The lease agreement showed Terlisa McDonald, 26, rented the equipment.

Falls police reviewed security footage of the transaction and observed a light skinned female, dressed in dark clothing, leaving the Home Depot with the rental agreement paperwork in her hand. A search through a law enforcement database showed a driver’s license photo of McDonald, matching the subject in the footage, according to the probable cause.

Police obtained a copy of the certified final notice letter of return sent to McDonald from Home Depot and a signed lease agreement, according to the affidavit.

An arrest warrant was issued with a felony count for theft of leased property on February 13, 2025 for the Las Vegas woman. McDonald was arrested on May 8. and arraigned by District Judge John T. Galloway.  She was remanded to Bucks County Correctional as she was unable to post 10% of $20,000.00 bail. She is scheduled to appear July 16 for a court date.

No word on whether or not the mini skid and trailer were located by Falls authorities.
