A 35-year-old Falls Township man was arrested with the aid of the Bucks County South Emergency Response Team Thursday (SERT).
Jason M. Meyer was taken into custody on an arrest warrant with SERT assisting Falls Township officers with serving the arrest warrant at a home on Lowell Drive in Pennwood Crossing, police confirmed.
Meyers is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, and reckless endangerment. He was preliminarily arraigned before on-call District Judge Maggie Snow and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
The victim went with her mother to the Falls Township Police to report an incident that occurred on January 17, 2024. The victim told police that she and her 17-year-old ex-boyfriend still socialized, although they were no longer a couple.
The victim said, at approximately 1:00 a.m., her ex-boyfriend invited her to his residence. She arrived at his home identified as 97oo block of Lowell Drive. Also at home was her ex-boyfriend’s uncle, Meyer, who also lived there. The three of them then went into the ex-boyfriend’s room.
According to the probable cause, when they entered the room, the victim said, Meyer threw a blanket on top of her head. She removed the blanket and as she did so, saw Meyer approach a closet and observed him retrieving an all-black handgun and magazine. She saw Meyer insert the magazine into the handgun and cocked the firearm. He then pointed the firearm at her head pressing the barrel against her forehead. After a few seconds, Meyer moved the firearm to her body and pressed the firearm to her left collarbone for several seconds. Meyer allegedly said to her, “f**k around and find out little girl.”
The victim left shortly after, according to the probable cause.
During the morning of January 18, 2024, the ex-boyfriend initiated a text-based conversation with the victim. During the conversation, the ex-boyfriend texted her the following: “Nigga you was shaking when jay put his gun to ya head.” The victim informed her mother, and a police report was completed. according to the affidavit.
Meyer’s father, Michael Meyer lives at the residence too and is the registered owner of 31 firearms. A person named Michael Meyer II also resides there and is the registered owner of one firearm, court records said.
Bucks County South SWAT assisted with Meyer’s arrest, said Lt. Chris Clark.
Meyer was preliminarily arraigned by Judge Snow and was released on $10,000.00 ROR bail with a non-monetary condition of no victim contact, Lt. Clark said.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 30, 2024.
