Falls Recovery Team Joins Forces with Philly Based Agencies to Assist Those in Need

Earlier this month, the Falls Township Supporting Recovery Team participated in weekly meeting that takes place in the heart of the opioid epidemic, the Kennsington section of Philadelphia.

The meeting brought members of organizations helping to fight the addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues.

Salvation Army, Homeless Outreach, Prevention Point, members from the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office, and a Philadelphia police officer from their Police Assistance Diversion Program (PAD).

The members collaborated and discussed efforts to assist those with several issues including substance abuse, mental health, and homelessness in and out of the Philadelphia and Bucks County areas.

The FTSR Program and Certified Recovery Specialist with Family Service Association of Bucks County, began in 2021 and has assisted numerous families and individuals in Falls Township.
