Falls Township Kicks Off Food Drive to benefit local Pantries

Falls Township is kicking off a year round food drive to benefit local food banks it was announced. 

Its a new endeavor for the Township and they want the drive to be a huge success. 

The public can drop off non-perishable food items at a box inside the Fire Marshal’s department by the counter at the municipal building located at 188 Lincoln Highway Fairless Hills from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m Monday through Friday.  

We started a couple of weeks ago and will be donating the food we collected to one of our area food pantries. Every month we will try to donate to a different pantry, Falls Township Fire Marshal Rich Dippolito said on his departments Facebook page.   

Dippolito said food collections will be made on the first Wednesday of every month. Arrangements for pickups can by made by e-mailing him at fallsfoodbank@fallstwp.com or sending a message through the Fire Marshal’s Facebook page.

The community can also call 215-949-9000, ext. 250. to schedule a pickup. 

Falls officials seek to be leaders in helping to conquer hunger, he said.
