The local man who threatened and menaced two boys riding their bikes in a Fairless Hills parking lot last month had all of his charges held over by a District Court Judge at a preliminary hearing last week.

Keith Binney, accused of threatening two young boys with a pocket knife last month, is heading for a jury trial in Doylestown with all the original charges filed against him sustained, Judge John Galloway ruled.

Binney will appear for formal arraignment on November 22, according to online court records, charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and related offenses.

According to Falls Township police, on September 28, two boys told police  they were just riding through the parking lot when a man started to yell and scream at them, for no apparent reason, calling the boys names. Binney, the boys said, pulled out a pocketknife moving towards the boys threatening to knife both of them. He brandished the weapon for both boys to see  it in his hand with the blade facing up. The boys fled on their bikes seeking help at Giant and moments later the suspect picked up his bike and walked away, according to court records.

Binney was arrested and charged for allegedly threatening five students with a knife waiting for a school bus to arrive in March 1 of this year on the 3000 block of Clayton Drive in the Pennwood Crossing mobile home park. According to online court records, Binney is scheduled to attend a pre-trial guilty plea conference for that case on November 19.

Binney remains in jail although his bail requirements were reduced in a hearing on October 4th to 10 percent of $10,000.00.
