Levittown Man Who Had Standoff with Police, Waives Prelim, Released from Jail, Evicted by Apt Complex

Submitted: Falls Twp Police

The Levittown man who set off a 2 1/2 hour standoff, at Pennsbury Woods Apartments in Falls Township, a little more than two weeks ago was released from Bucks County Correctional Facility after a bail reduction hearing and waiving his right to a preliminary hearing at District Court in Falls Township Tuesday.

Munajj R. Booker, 29, will now proceed to trial in the Court of Common Pleas in Doylestown. He waived the preliminary hearing connected to the standoff triggered by gunshot fire, which he told police was accidental.

The day after his arrest, the parent company for Pennsbury Woods filed an eviction notice in district court citing the gun fire and a balance of about $160.00. District Judge John Galloway granted possession of the apartment back to the complex’s management company on April 1, while Booker was still in custody.

Booker had his bail reduced by a Bucks County judge to an unsecured amount after a bail reduction hearing also held on Tuesday. This hearing, to put it mildly, upset the locals living at the complex where the barricade and gunfire incident took place.

Sources who requested to remain anonymous citing safety concerns said officials from the apartment complex told them Booker has until April 29 to vacate his apartment.
