Police made contact with the driver of the vehicle Stephanie Coen.
Coen said she was not injured in the accident and did not need medical attention.
Upon speaking with Coen police observed her to have glassy pinpoint eyes.
Coen stated that she lives on Tamarack Ln and was on her way to into work when her vehicle lost control.
When asked Coen indicated that she did not lose control of her vehicle that her vehicle lost control of itself but she does not remember exactly what happened. She stated that she was driving down the street and she dodged something in the roadway which caused her vehicle to lose control, police wrote in court papers,
Coen said that she does not remember what exactly happened and does not remember what she attempted to dodge in the roadway that caused her to disregard a stop sign and crash into a residence.
Coen’s NJ driver’s license indicated that she is required to have an alcohol interlock from a previous DUI in NJ. Upon inspecting her vehicle police did not observe any alcohol interlock.
Police asked Coen where the alcohol interlock was and she claimed that the state of NJ allowed her to take it off, early however she did not have any paperwork to prove that.
Coen was asked, by police, if she was taking any medication or had consumed any alcoholic beverages and she stated that she did not. She stated that she takes Adderall, takes a sleeping pill at night time and consumes coffee. However, she did not consume any other drugs or alcohol.
Police advised Coen that based on her pinpoint glassy eyes, her confusion, and memory loss about how the accident had occurred that it was belived she was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police asked her if she suffered from any medical issues that would explain these observations and she stated that she did not.
Police asked Coen if she was willing to perform field sobriety exercises and she stated that she did not want to as she did not believe it was necessary. Throughout the conversation, police said, Coen was hyper fixated on going to work.
She stated multiple times that she needed to go to work and did not seem to fully comprehend the extent of the damage as she even offered to get back into her vehicle and drive it out of the residence so that she could go to work, police wrote in court papers .
Police said in the probable cause Coen was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs while operating her motor vehicle. She was taken into custody and transported to the Falls Township Police Department for processing.
While in transit to the police department Coen indicated she had consumed alcohol the previous night and was worried that this would appear on a blood test. Additionally during her processing, Police asked Coen where she worked. Coen stated that she worked at Giant but was unable to say which Giant she worked at.
Coen was only able to state that it was in Falls Township.
Police read Coen the DL–26B form and she stated that she was willing to submit to a blood draw. Medics from Fairless Hills Rescue Squad 154 arrived on scene and conducted the blood draw. The blood was submitted into evidence. Lab results are pending.
Court information for Coen’s arrest was unavailable as of Monday morning 7:50 am on the Unified Judicial System of Pennsylvania.
