Man Sent to Hospital After Lighting Himself on Fire

Last night, a man doused himself with gasoline and lit himself on fire.

A passing motorist witnessed a 49-year-old man douse himself with gasoline and lit himself on fire. This occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Lincoln Highway, Morrisville on Thursday, February 15, 2024.  Afterward, various bystanders utilized garments to extinguish him, said Lt. Christopher Clark of Falls Township Police Department.

He was subsequently transported to Saint Mary Medical Center with critical injuries and was in the process of being flown to Jefferson Hospital, East Falls Campus, for additional treatment last night, Lt. Clark said.

Identity and condition of the man unknown at press time.
