A late Saturday night fire in the Elderberry section of Levittown in Falls Township damaged a home and possibly was caused by fireworks, neighbors told Lower Bucks Source.

Fire crews from Levittown #1 and #2 Tullytown, Falls Township and Morrisville were dispatched to the fire located at 8 of East Lane around 10 p.m. Fire fighters quickly placed the fire and used ventilators to clear the remaining smoke from inside the home, with crews also checking the home for fire extension beyond the garage and front living area of the residence, which has a magnificent tree standing in front of it.

According to neighbors the quick response by fire crews was a key factor in limiting the fire from spreading to other parts of the home.

“They were here in like three minutes” one neighbor said, who saw the smoke rising into the night sky from his backyard.

Other neighbors the publication spoke with or received tips from repeated the same essential story, which Lower Bucks Source has yet to confirm with officials, that a bottle rocket of some sort entered the front of the home through the bay windows igniting the fire.

Falls Township authorities interviewed community members for about one hour or so at the scene.

Attempts to reach fire and police officials for comment on this story were unsuccessful as of publication time. The fire is under investigation by the fire marshals office, police said.
