Ohio Man Sent to State Prison for up to 12 Years in Screwdriver Wife Attack

A Man from Cleveland will serve up to 12 years in state prison for his screwdriver attack on his wife in Falls Township earlier this year.

Bao Thien Le, 24, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and strangulation for the April 5 attack on his wife, the office said on Wednesday.

After a 911 call from a neighbor that afternoon to the 200 Block of South Olds Bouldvard, Police found Le choking his wife. The now convicted man also stabbed her in the head and torso officials reported at the time.

President Judge Wallace H. Batemen, accepted Le’s plea, although he was originally charged with attempted homicide, sentencing him, six to 12 years in state prison.
In exchange for his plea to the lesser charge, the attempted homicide count was dropped.

Le also has to pay more than $7300.00 in restitution.
