An Ambler woman was jailed late last month accused of stalking and breaking into the home of a man she met on a dating site, who had already communicated he was no longer interested in any kind of romantic relationship with her.
Lindsay Carole Harris, 30 was arraigned on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, stalking and a related offense on June 28 by on-call District Judge Daniel Baranoski who remanded her to the custody of Bucks County Jail. She posted a bond of 10 percent of $50,000 the following day and was released.
According to the criminal complaint filed by the Falls Township Police, officers were dispatched to 104 Oxford Falls Court, located in the Falls Twp. section of Fairless Hills for an unwanted subject report.
Bucks County Radio (BCR) advised the complainant/homeowner met a female subject online, never provided his home address to her and noticed Harris had broken into his residence, police said.
While en route, BCR advised that the complainant said he saw Harris attempting to climb into the rear window of his Fairless Hills home.
Officers arrived on scene and observed Harris shouting the complainant’s name and actively attempting to climb into an open window in the rear of the residence.
Harris was detained on scene after being instructed to climb out by police.
Officers then met with the homeowner, who said he arrived home at approximately 11:45 p.m. He noticed defrosted water ice and an opened wine bottle on the kitchen table. He then noticed a bedroom light on upstairs and confirmed it was not on when he left his residence. While walking back downstairs towards the rear living room, he observed Harris standing outside the rear sliding glass door. He immediately called 911.
Harris then attempted to gain access to the residence by lifting the rear back window, and climbing through, which is when Police arrived and detained her.
The complainant further advised he met Harris in January 2026 on an online dating website “Match.Com”.
The complainant told police he met her only once in person, never at his residence, nor did he provide his address or invite her over. According to police,the complainant then notified Harris that he wished not to pursue any further relatio.nship with her.
Approximately one week ago, Harris showed up to his residence unannounced, and was instructed to cease all contact by the complainant. Harris continued to text and communicate with him despite the warning, police said in court papers.
She is due back in court on July 21 for a preliminary hearing.
