People take note. Cameras do not lie as one Philadelphia man found out leading to his arrest for burglary related offenses in Morrisville Borough last month.
In an unusual move, suspect Francesco Pensavalle 61, had his preliminary hearing held days after his arrest. Most of his charges were held over for trial by a Bucks County Judge .
Pensavalle 61, was taken into custody by police the morning of October 26, 2023 near the 7-11 on Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville, court records show. He was originally charged with burglary and related offenses in connection to a break-in at the RPM garage on October 24, 2023.
Video surveillance at the garage recorded an older white male with white hair and grayish facial hair, a dark blue puffy coat with a red scarf, brown undercoat, dark pants, and dark boots walk up to the garage door which consists of glass panels, police wrote in court papers. The suspect then kicked in and shattered the glass panel of the garage. He then made entry into the garage through the hole created from kicking out the panel and walked towards a door that separates the garage area and the lobby area, but the door was locked, said police. He then exited the garage through the same hole and fleeing towards the Sunoco on the 500 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.
When taken into custody, Pensavalle was wearing the same clothing that he wore the night of the break-in, police said.
He was interviewed at police headquarters and was shown a photo from inside the garage. Pensavalle agreed that it was him in the photo, but he did not recall breaking into the garage that night, court records show.
Pensavalle’s preliminary hearing was held Tuesday.
District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel ruled there was enough evidence to sustain charges of criminal mischief and criminal trespassing and prowling.
Pensavalle remains in Bucks County Jail in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000.
His formal arraignment is scheduled for December 1, 2023 at Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.
