Police Investigate Discovery of Explosive Materials in Fairless Hills Home

The Falls Township Police Department is currently investigating the discovery of apparent explosive      materials discovered in Fairless Hills home Monday afternoon.

According to police, on Monday, October 5, at approximately 2:30 p.m, a resident in the 300 block of Chelsea Road, Fairless Hills, discovered what she believed to be explosive materials inside a residence, after which she called the police.

There is no danger present to the residents of Fairless Hills, however an active investigation is being conducted at the involved residence by police personnel, said Lt Chris Clark.

During the preliminary investigation Falls Police coordinated with the Philadelphia Police Bomb Disposal Unit who subsequently responded and seized the items, Clark said.

No additional information was released and as of publication time, no arrests have been made.
