A motorist on the Trenton Makes Bridge escaped a fire safely when his car burst into flames crossing the span on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses to the fire said the driver escaped safely with traffic on the busy bridge backing up for first responders to put out the fire.
Motorists from the Morrisville area said traffic came to a halt for about 90 minutes as onlookers posted to social media platforms warning drivers to steer clear of the famous bridge while the fire was being doused.
There is no other additional information as to the cause of he fire.
