Growing up as a kid in Brooklyn “egging” –throwing eggs at moving vehicles, homes, or people was a thing growing up. Until someone threw an egg at a motorist causing a serious accident.

Lower Makefield Township Police are trying to avoid an incident like that saying today egging incidents and other acts of criminal mischief are going on in the community, since earlier this month.

“There have been numerous reports of vandalism, specifically eggs being thrown at homes and vehicles, throughout the Township. Residents are encouraged to report these incidents to the police” officials said.

Four such incidents were reported on August 24 and 25 with one home egged on twice.

  1. 700 block of Sumter Dr. reported at 9:01PM. Complainant reported unknown person(s) egged their residence.
  2. 100 block of Pine Ln. reported at 10:18PM. Complainant reported unknown person(s) egged their residence.
  3. 500 block of Aspen Woods Dr. reported at 8:37AM. Complainant reported unknown person(s) egged their residence on 8/19 and 8/20.

The week before the police reported, six other incidents of criminal mischief where mailboxes were wrecked on the week of August 18 with one residence egged.

Of note Police in a set of egging reports released last week, said on August 25, also,  at 1700 block of Quarry Rd. Grey Nun Academy authorities responded to an alarm activation. Video surveillance showed a juvenile male in the building, who fled prior to offices arrival.

Anyone having any information or video related to these incidents is asked to contact Detective Campbell at 267-274-1165, authorities said Wednesday.
