Lower Makefield Twp. Police Reports Nov 22, 2024 – Dec 26, 2024

12/26/2024 – Fraud – 2000 block of Leedoms Dr. reported at 9 a.m. Complainant reported winning a bid for a watch on eBay for $4,536.80. When the package arrived, the watch was not included.

12/26/2024 – Motor Vehicle Theft – 900 block of Taylor Ln. reported at 12:20 p.m. Complainant reported theft of towing trailer.

12/25/2024 – Fraud – 300 block of Rowantree Cir. reported at 7:48 a.m. Complainant reported sending $200,000.00 to someone they had met online thinking they were in trouble.

12/24/2024 – Theft – 600 block of Woodford Ln. reported at 10:27 a.m. Complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) removed all four rims and tires from their vehicle. Investigation ongoing.

12/24/2024 – Theft – 400 block of Ramsey Rd. reported at 12:05 p.m. Complainant reported theft of a package containing a laptop from their porch on 12/6.

12/24/2024 – Retail Theft – 900 block of Vansant Dr. at Wegmans reported at 4:48 p.m. Loss Prevention reported a retail theft in progress. While enroute, police were notified the offender left the store. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle at Stony Hill Rd. & Rt. 332. The 44 year old female from Southampton, PA was taken into police custody.

12/24/2024 – Identity Theft – 800 block of Winthrop Dr. reported at 5:49 p.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) attempted to use their information to rent an apartment.

12/23/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite reported at 2:20 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a 67 year old female from Morrisville, PA for under ringing $45.24 worth of merchandise. She was taken into police custody and issued a non-traffic citation for Retail Theft.

12/21/2024 – Retail Theft – 1600 block of Big Oak Rd. at Shop Rite reported at 11:41 a.m. Loss Prevention reported a known female under scanned over 30 items, worth $298.66, at self-checkout. The 64 year old female from LMT turned herself in and was summonsed for Retail Theft.

12/18/2024 – Worthless Checks – Unit block of Morningside Dr. reported at 9:30 a.m. Complainant reported receiving a bad check from a customer for roof work. Investigation ongoing.

12/18/2024 – Burglary – 2000 block of Yardley Rd. reported at 11:51 a.m. Police responded to the report of an alarm at the location. Upon arrival, police observed forced entry in the rear of the residence. The residence was ransacked, alarm panels were ripped off the walls inside, but video was captured to show four masked individuals arrived in an Infiniti QX60 and forced entry into the residence. Multiple items of jewelry were taken. Investigation ongoing.

12/18/2024 – Attempted Fraud – Unit block of Milton Dr. reported at 1:27 p.m. Complainant reported being contacted by someone claiming to be with Publisher’s Clearing House saying they won a car and $7,000 a week for life, but they needed to send $700 in gift cards to collect their winnings. Complainant recognized this as a scam and did not send gift cards or money.

12/18/2024 – Attempted Fraud – 600 block of Tomlinson Ln. reported at 1:03 p.m. Complainant reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be an officer and they needed to pay to have a warrant lifted. Complainant recognized this as a scam and did not send money.

12/15/2024 – Criminal Mischief – 1200 block of Knox Dr reported at 1:30 p.m. Complainant came to police to report that on 12/13/2024 their windows of their French door was shattered possibly by a BB gun.

12/14/2024 – Criminal Mischief – 8800 block of Spruce Mill Dr. reported at 1:41 p.m. Complainant reported that their 2024 Kia had been keyed by a known suspect. The 27 year old male suspect from LMT was taken into police custody and charged with criminal mischief and other related charges.

12/14/2024 – Motor Vehicle Theft – 1000 Stony Hill Rd. reported at 2:40 p.m. Complainant reports that sometime over night unknown persons removed their 2019 white Honda Accord from parking lot of Hampton Inn.

12/14/2024 – Criminal Mischief – 8800 block of Spruce Mill Rd reported at 8 a.m. Complainant reports that some time over night their car was damaged. One flat tire, broken windows and keyed.

12/12/2024 – Criminal Mischief – 8800 block of Spruce Mill Rd reported at 7:20 p.m. Complainant reports that vehicle got keyed sometime during the previous day.

12/12/2024 – Fraud- 7100 block of Sheffield Rd reported at 11:20 a,m. Complainant reports that they received phone calls from someone claiming to be from Norton Antivirus. Complainant did send $500 but then realized it was a scam and stopped the payment.

12/11/2024 – Theft – 300 block of Oxford Valley Rd. reported at 3:45 p.m. Complainant reported theft of a package containing an Apple I Pad and Pencil.

12/9/2024 – Retail Theft – 900 block of Vansant Dr. at Wegmans reported at 3:30 p.m. Loss prevention detained a 70 year old male from LMT for taking merchandise without paying. He was taken into police custody.

12/7/2024 – Identity Theft – 100 block of Taylorsville Rd. reported at 3 p.m. Complainant reported their Facebook and Instagram were hacked. They contacted who they believed to be Meta and provided their personal information. They later determined unknown person(s) attempted to withdraw $3,500 from their bank account and other apps

12/7/2024 – Attempted Fraud – 1700 block of Westover Ct. reported at 12:21 p.m. Complainant reported after activating a new cell phone, they received a call from unknown person(s) informing them that they received the wrong phone and needed to return it. Complainant recognized this as a scam and did not return the phone.

12/6/2024 – Burglary – 600 block of Rosalind Run reported at 8:02 a.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence via a rear first floor window and removed jewelry and cash.

12/6/2024 – Attempted Credit Card Fraud – 1300 block of Brentwood Rd. reported at 5:08 p.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) attempted to charge their credit card in the amount of $33.71.

12/5/2024 – Fraud – 300 Block of Oxford Valley Rd reported at 1:21 p.m. Complainant reported receiving an email from a company they believed to be doing business, with stating that they had an unpaid balance. Complainant sent $916.07 via PayPal before realizing it was a scam.

12/4/2024 – Credit Card Fraud – 1200 block of Greenhill Rd. reported at 4:37 p.m. Complainant reported unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $1,374.40.

12/1/2024 – Criminal Mischief – Unit block of Wendover Rd. reported at 12:42 p.m. Complainant reported sometime overnight, unknown person(s) egged their residence.

12/1/2024 – Theft – 1500 block of Cornerstone Dr. reported at 10:45 p.m. Complainant reported receiving a text message and phone call from someone claiming to be with the Fraud Department from their bank. They were instructed to withdraw $27,000 and deposit it into an ATM with an account number and PIN provided and they were instructed to change their account information.

11/30/2024 – Motor Vehicle Theft – 700 block of Grange Dr. reported at 10:35 a.m. Complaina+nt reported theft of their 2021 Infiniti Q50 from their driveway sometime overnight. A LoJack system located the vehicle in Philadelphia, where it was recovered by police. Investigation ongoing.

11/29/2024 – Theft – 900 block of Countess Dr. reported at 9:15 a.m. Complainant reported on 11/26, unknown male stolen a bicycle from the sidewalk. Incident was captured on surveillance camera. The bicycle was later found on Facebook Marketplace. Contact was made with the seller, and it was determined they believed the bike to be trash since it was on the curb and returned it to police.

11/29/2024 – Fraud – 1000 block of Creamery Rd. reported at 3:07 p.m. Complainant reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be with Bucks County Courthouse, stating they had a federal warrant for their arrest. Complainant recognized this as a scam and disconnected the call, which was spoofed to appear to be coming from the actual Courthouse.

11/28/2024 – Stolen Vehicle Arrest – 2000 block of Polo Run Dr. reported at 7:19 p.m. Police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle at the location. A records check revealed the vehicle was stolen. When police approached the running vehicle, which had a male sleeping in the driver’s seat, the operator put the car into drive and fled through the grass and parking lot onto Yardley-Langhorne Rd. Police initiated a short pursuit, which was called off when the vehicle reached Yardley Borough. When the vehicle reentered Lower Makefield, attempts to stop the vehicle were made again but unsuccessful. Stop sticks were deployed at River Rd. & Woodside Rd. in a final attempt to stop the reckless vehicle, which now entered three separate jurisdictions. The vehicle entered a fourth jurisdiction, with a flat tire, lost control and struck an occupied SUV carrying seven occupants. None of the occupants of the SV were injured. The driver of the fleeing vehicle was transported to Capital Health for a head wound, treated and released. A records check revealed the 21 year old male from Philadelphia, PA was wanted out of Philadelphia for a Firearms Violation. Upon being medically cleared, the male was taken into police custody for Receiving Stolen Property, Receiving Stolen Property, Fleeing and Eluding, Reckless Endangerment of Another Person, and related charges. He was arraigned by District Justice Kronnagel and sent to BCCF on lieu of $175,000/10% bail.

11/26/2024 -Stolen Vehicle Arrest – Rt. 1 & Oxford Valley Rd. reported at 8:10 p.m. Police on patrol received an LPR hit for a stolen vehicle at the location. A felony car stop was conducted and the 33 year old male from Trenton, NJ was taken into police custody for Receiving Stolen Property and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. He was arraigned by District Justice Snow and sent to BCCF in lieu of $50,000/10% bail.

11/25/2024 – Criminal Mischief – 3100 block of Danbury Ct. reported at 12:30 a.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) broke their passenger side window. Nothing reported missing at this time.

11/24/2024 – Credit Card Fraud – 300 block of Ramsey Rd. reported at 12:20 p.m. Complainant reported unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $937.71.

11/22/2024 – Fraud – 1100 Edgewood Rd. at reported at 10:08 a.m. Complainant reported unknown person(s) intercepted a mailed check, altered it, and cashed it.

11/22/2024 – Theft – Unit block of Moon Cir. reported at 2:35 p.m. Complainant reported being sent a refund check from the IRS in February that was never received but had their signature on it.

11/22/2024 – Credit Card Fraud – 400 block of Robbins Ct. reported at 4:11 pm. Complainant reported unauthorized use of their credit card in the amount of $431.95.
