A 41-year-old Pittsburgh man with an arrest warrant for allegedly forcing his way into a Lower Makefield Township home earlier this year was taken into custody, arraigned and released late last month.

Lebarron Jake McCoy has been charged with one count each of felony burglary and criminal trespass plus related offenses connected to a January incident in Lower Makefield Township.

According to police, at about 1:20 am on January 8, 911 dispatched officers to a township residence,  in the 200 block of River Road, who were reporting McCoy was banging on the front door of the home. McCoy was told by the people living there to leave the premises immediately.

McCoy, the victims told police, physically forced his way into the home by pushing past the occupants. At this time he and one of the victims were engaged in an intense struggle. When police arrived on scene McCoy was physically removed from the home and taken into custody.

The suspect for reasons not made clear was released from police custody that same night even though a criminal complaint was filed in District Court in Morrisville. Subsequenty, police filed a Fugitive Declaration on May 22.

McCoy was picked up by police in late July and processed on unsecured bail.

He is scheduled to appear to answer to the charges on September 2 and according to court records he will be represented by Keith J. Williams, Esq.
