Lower Makefield Twp. Police Reports Jan 9, 2025 – Jan 22, 2025

1/22/2025 – Fraud – 1800 Block of Inverness Dr. at 5:24 p.m. Complainant reported that while on a social media app, they were asked to send bitcoin or wire money overseas to India. Complainant deleted app. No monetary loss.

1/22/2025 – Fraud – 1700 Block of N Dove Rd. at 10:25 a.m. Complainant reported unknown person used their Social Security number and was collecting SNAP benefits. They were advised to contact Social Security and monitor their credit. No monetary loss sustained.

1/18/2025 – Motor Vehicle Theft – 1400 Block of Lynbrooke Dr. at 2:26 p.m. Complainant reported that their 2007 Toyota had been stolen from their residence sometime on 1/16/25. Police recovered and processed the vehicle, which was then released to owner.

1/17/2025 – Fraud – 1600 Block of Dolington Rd. at 5:19 p.m. Complainant reported that they called Xfinity at a number they obtained from a Google search. They provided their account and login information before realizing it was not Xfinity.  The complainant then saw fraudulent charges on their credit card. They reported the incident to Xfinity and the credit card company as fraud.

1/17/2025 – Attempted Theft from Auto – Unit block of Delaware Rim Dr. at 12:51 p.m. Complainant reports that sometime between 11:30 p.m., 1/16 and 12:30 p.m., 1/17 an unknown person entered their vehicle and went through glove box and front interior part of vehicle. Nothing appeared to be missing.

1/15/2025 – Fraud – 2100 Block Twining Rd. at 11:00 a.m. Complainant reported receiving a phishing email from what appeared to be Comcast. The email directed them to call a number they believed was Comcast. They called and provided access to their phone which resulted in a $500 charge on their Discover card.  Discover was notified of the fraud.

1/14/2025 – Fraud – 200 Block of S Fieldstone Ct. at 2:55 p.m. Complainant reports that they were watching a YouTube video, and they were prompted to scan a barcode which resulted in a Crypto currency loss of $15,060.

1/13/2025 – Fraud – 1600 Block of Devon Ct. at 4:04 p.m. Complainant reports that several accounts were opened under their name. The current monetary loss sustained is $6,000. The bank is in the process of an investigation.

1/12/2025 – Theft -1200 Block of Yardley Rd. at 12:38 p.m.  Complainant reports that an unknown person removed an Amazon package valued at $60.41 from the front of residence.

1/10/2025 – Motor Vehicle Theft – 900 Block of Kathy Dr. at 6:34 p.m.  Complainant reports their Hyundai Elantra stolen from residence. The vehicle later recovered with an undetermined amount of damage.

1/10/2025  – Criminal Mischief – 500 Block Cedar Hollow Dr reported at 7:45 a.m. Complainant reports that sometime overnight unknown persons attempted to enter their Toyota Corolla damaging drivers side door handle. Damage estimated at $500.
