A motorist driving a Tesla gave a whole new meaning to the tagline – America Runs on Dunkin’ – with the driver crashing into it instead of running to it.
According to tipsters and witnesses the Tesla crashed into the Dunkin’ Donuts in the 900 block of Woodbourne Road, in Levittown around 9:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
An off-duty first responder listening to radio traffic said two Dunkin’ employees working inside the establishment when the Tesla slammed into the sidewall suffered minor injuries.
Township officials were on scene after the crash checking the badly damaged wall.
Tipsters reported the Dunkin’ location remained closed as of 2:30 p.m. Saturday..
