Updated: Suspect Identified, Purse Returned

Morrisville Police announced Thursday a purse stolen from a local church was returned and  a suspect identified.

Morrisville police reported the purse snatch from Presbyterian Church on Wednesday.

“..The complaints do not want to prosecute.  They  feel he just made a mistake since it was a clothes give away.  The gentleman returned everything,” said Police Chief George McClay.

Social media posts on later that night from those close the situation said the purse had been returned to its owner, sharing gratitude for the quick response by McClay and officers.
