Ecoremedy Fire Investigation Completed, Report yet to be Finalized

The investigation into the cause of last month’s fire at the Ecoremdey plant has been completed but the official report has yet to be finalized an official said last week in an e-mail exchange with Lower Bucks Source, and officials.

The overnight fire, which shuttered the facility, did significant damage to the building in the industrial section of Morrisville, company officials said.

The Morrisville Municipal Authority (MMA) was to meet with Ecoremedy officials for a public meeting scheduled for September 2.  The meeting was cancelled by company officials the afternoon after the blaze with a new meeting expected to be scheduled at a later date.

Lower Bucks Source attempted to follow up with Fire Marshal, Don Harris last week but calls and e-mails went unanswered, An e-mail to councilman  Justin Bowers, which he in turn forwarded to Borough Manager Judith Danko, elicited a response from Executive Director of the MMA, John Warenda, last Thursday,

“I spoke to Don Harris late yesterday (Wednesday).  He had not completed the report, but had finished his investigation, I understand, said Warenda. .

Danko also said she had yet  to receive a final report, yet also last week, according to a response to the original Bowers e-mail.

Morrisville  outsources its fire marshal services to Keystone Municipal Services, Inc

When the investigative report is released, hopefully it will answer many of the questions locals have about the fire at the waste conversion facility, til then unsubstantiated rumors continue to circulate.
