Jealousy and suspicion got the best of a Fairless Hills man whose response, to his girlfriend going out for drinks on her own, was to pummel, slap, and strangle her and now he faces serious charges for the alleged assault.

On Friday, December 6th of 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Morrisville Police responded to Colonial Village Apartments for a domestic disturbance in progress. The Bucks County Radio Room  advised that the caller said a male had strangled her. Dispatch advised the female to stop answering their questions and have the phone line remain open while they could hear a female voice continuing to scream.

Police arrived on location shortly thereafter and could hear a female crying from inside the building. The victim came outside distraught and hysterically crying at the time. The victim said she was at the Morrisville Tavern having drinks and she arrived home around 1 a.m.  She said that upon arriving home her boyfriend started questioning her about where she was and who with, which led into an argument. The victim told police, during the argument, the suspect slapped her in the face multiple times with an open hand. He then punched her in the back of the head with a closed fist. She also said she was punched in the ribs.

At that time, she told him she was going to call 911.

She said, she grabbed her cell phone and stated Hey Siri, dial 911. When her phone started to dial 911, the defendant approached her and wrapped his arm around her neck, putting her into a chokehold. The victim stated that while she was being choked, she was unable to breath, felt like she was light headed and was going to lose consciousness if she didn’t act. The victim stated that she started kicking and scratching the defendant’s arm which was when he let her go.  The victim identified her boyfriend as Jujuan Holmes, 29 of Fairless Hills, and stated that he left the area just prior to police arrival.

She said he left in an older model Audi, black in color. She described him as a black male with dread-style hair and said he was last seen driving toward W. Trenton Avenue. Officers located it in the Sunoco parking lot near Plaza Blvd. and W. Trenton Avenue.

When the officer approached the vehicle he observed a male matching Holmes’  description and who identified himself as Holmes. Holmes was subsequently taken into custody without issue. Holmes was transported to Lower Makefield PD for processing and then transported back to Morrisville PD to await arraignment. Police examined the defendant’s right arm and were able to observe scratch marks in the area of his inside elbow which appeared to be consistent with defensive marks the victim described, court records show.

Police noted red marks, abrasions and fresh bruising to the victim’s throat area. There was also visible swelling to her face, specifically on her cheeks. She  requested medical attention, and shortly after, EMS arrived on scene. The medics examined her rib area as she stated that she was struck there. While checking her rib area she was showing signs of pain, but the medic stated there were no visible marks.  She was subsequently transported to Jefferson Bucks for further evaluation, police said in court papers.

Holmes is charged with felony strangulation and aggravated assault and two related offenses. His bail was set as unsecured. His next court date is set for  January 14, 2025.
