A 44-year-old Langhorne man is behind bars at Bucks County Jail, possibly rethinking some of the alleged choices he made Sunday night in Morrisville Borough as he’s accused of leaving the scene of an accident with police chasing him down.
According to police, on July 13th, 2025 at approximately 8:20 p.m. Morrisville Borough Police officers were on patrol in the area of 36 Union Street, in a fully marked police vehicle, when Officer Carlin was waived down by a female who stated that she was just involved in a hit- and –run traffic accident and the fleeing vehicle, a silver Mitsubishi, was last seen heading north bound on North Pennsylvania Avenue.
Carlin immediately checked the area for the striking vehicle. Police located a silver Mitsubishi Outlander, Pennsylvania registration LMB9029, operated by Andre Randolph, on North Pennsylvania Avenue at West Trenton Avenue.
Carlin activated his emergency lights, seeking a vehicle investigation. Randolph’s vehicle failed to stop and proceeded westbound on West Trenton Ave. Bucks County Radio room was advised that the vehicle was attempting to flee the pursuing officer continuing on West Trenton Ave, making a left onto Carlisle Drive, a right onto Rennard Lane, a left onto Wilk Drive, proceeding on Wilk Drive and making a left onto Doloro Drive, a left back onto Carlisle Drive, a left back onto Rennard, and a left back onto Wilk. Police followed Randolph. A second officer, Bradley Smeltzer, activated his lights on his marked emergency vehicle and blocked the bottom of Wilk Drive at Doloro in an attempt to stop the Mitsubishi. Randolph left the roadway driving up over the curb and through the front lawn of a residence on the 500 block of Wilk Drive then back onto Doloro Drive to make another left onto Carlisle Drive. He continued to drive in circles and eventually stopped the vehicle on Rennard at Carlisle. Police took Randolph into custody, according to the probable cause.
Officer Carlin immediately detected burnt marijuana odor emanating from inside the vehicle. He noted that Randolph had three cell phones and a baggie of green leafy alleged marijuana. He was placed in the rear of the patrol vehicle and transported back to headquarters. He was read the DL-26 and submitted to a legal blood draw at 9:05 p.m. Blood was drawn from his right arm by Medic 139, police said in court records.
Randolph was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage late Sunday night, charged felony fleeing, misdemeanor counts of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, drug possession and three motorist summary offenses. Bail was set at $10,000.00. Randolph unable to post 10% and was remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing is set for July 22 at Morrisville District Court. Randolph has no attorney of record, according to online court documents.
