Gregory Egan Jr. appeared on Feb. 18 in Morrisville District Court with his attorney Thomas Kenny, Esq. of Kenny, Burns & McGill in Philadelphia who told the court the Morrisville man waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Eagan Jr., based on a cyber tip submitted to investigators last September, is accused of uploading and identifying apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The sexual abuse material consisted of one video and image. Detectives reviewed the files involving a prepubescent female with a male penis in her vagina. A second file is a thirty-two second video with a naked prepubescent female sitting on a naked adult male. The female masturbates the male’s penis to ejaculate, while the male masturbates the female’s vagina, detectives said in court papers.

On October 11, 2024, investigators received the following information from a Verizon Administrative Subpoena:
The account came back to Gregory Egan on the 100 block of Clymer Avenue, Morrisville, PA. The phone number that was associated with the Google account and in other investigative documents matched
Bucks County Detectives and members of other law enforcement agencies executed a search and seizure warrant Nov. 6 on the Clymer Avenue residence. Egan agreed to be interviewed by Detectives. A iPhone 13 ProMax with a black case, which Egan identified as his, was seized out of his bedroom.
Egan agreed to speak to investigators without a lawyer, because he wanted to be truthful and make this as painless as possible for himself, the criminal complaint alleges. Egan told investigators there was no need to review the images, he does not remember them, and there were a lot of things going on in his life at the time. He told detectives he searched the internet for girls his age, 16, or 17 years old, but that he did find younger girls He said he visited chat rooms where people would sell images and he would get scammed. People would tell him they were young and they were going to blackmail him, police said in court papers.
Egan admitted to downloading around 50 child pornography images that should not have been sent to him and there were a few videos that he downloaded. Egan stated this happened over a period of time maybe three months ago. Egan said he visited chat rooms to trade pictures but would delete most of everything he received because he was trading images to see what he could get. He told investigators the two videos he uploaded to Kik were probably done so he could trade them for nudes saying people often trade pictures for pictures.
Egan said he was not looking for babies but teenagers like 17 or 18. Egan said he is 28. Egan said he thought images/videos of girls under 17 were illegal and girls younger than 17 did not appeal to him. Egan said he would get pictures of younger girls but they did not do anything for him.
Egan stated there may be more images on his phone, but they should just be nudes. He said there should not be any child pornography on his phone, as he never kept it. Egan stated he would just delete it. Egan then stated there may be a few photos. He said he used to have a folder on his phone of girls he slept with but he deleted it when he started dating his new girlfriend, Amber. Egan stated he was not trying to hurt anyone, he just started to see things. Egan stated he does not want to see little kids, that he is not into that kind of stuff. Egan said 16 and 17 year old girls look older. He said he never reached out to anyone, looking was fine with him. Egan once again said he does not keep the pictures on his phone as he deletes them because he does not hoard the pictures.
On November 11, 2024, Egan called police to inform them he had a new phone number, which he provided also taking the opportunity again to tell investigators he believed the police would not find any child porn on his phone as he only used it to trade to get what he really was interested in and that he would delete it afterwards, according to the probable cause.
A little more than two weeks later detectives finished reviewing Egan’s cell phone. In addition to the one image and one video from the original cybertip investigators located two additional images, and seven videos of prepubescent females involved in various sexual acts. Additionally eleven videos and five images of what appear to be teenage females (under the age of 18) involved in various sexual acts or in various state of undress. This would be a total of 11 files of child pornography with another 16 files of possible child pornography.
Egan was arrested and jailed on Jan. 29 charged with felony counts of disseminating photo/film of child sex acts, criminal use of a communication facility and child pornography. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 21 at the Justice Center in Doylestown.
