Morrisville Mayor Swears in Three New Police Officers

Earlier this week, Morrisville Borough Mayor Gary Wallace swore in three recently hired police officers.

Dominic Chrzanowski. Amanda Deluca and Matthew Leonhauser attended a ceremony officiated by Wallace. The officers will take part in a second “formal” swearing in at the April 16 borough council meeting with family, friends and the community present.

Officer Dominic Chrzanowski grew up in Levittown and graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2018. He graduated from Bucks County Community College in 2020 with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and transferred to West Chester University. He graduated from West Chester University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation, he enrolled in the Temple Municipal Police Academy where he graduated in March of 2023. He then accepted a full-time offer from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked for 1 year in the transportation division. While working there full-time, he also worked Part-Time as a Police Officer for the Bristol Borough Police Department. While off duty, he enjoys watching his favorite Philly sports teams and hanging with family and friends.

Officer DeLuca has been in Law Enforcement for 4 years, most recently employed by Temple University as a Full-Time Patrol Officer. Officer DeLuca graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She enjoys spending time with family and friends snowboarding, swimming, fishing and other outdoor activities. In addition to these hobbies, she enjoyed volunteering in and around the Temple University community.

Officer Matthew Leonhauser is a Langhorne native and class of 2018 Neshaminy High School graduate. From 2018 to 2024, Matthew proudly served 6 years in the Army National Guard as an 11B Infantryman, as well as Military Honor Guard.  From 2019-2024, he worked 5 years in Middletown Township as a Community Service Officer. Officer Leonhauser completed the Temple Ambler Police Academy in the Fall of 2023 and shortly after began working as a Part-time Police Officer for Tullytown Borough. He enjoys playing soccer in his free time, as well as playing basketball and softball leagues in the area. Officer Leonhauser is a 3rd generation Police Officer and comes from a large family of Police Officers in Bucks County.

“Please help us congratulate these Officers and welcome them to the Morrisville Borough family. We look forward to being a part of their long and successful careers, officials said in a release.
