Morrisville Fire Co Helps Rescue Kayaker from Delaware River

Last Friday afternoon the Morrisville Fire Company and Trenton Fire Department teamed up in a dramatic  rescue captured in images to rescue a kayaker overturned in the Delaware River.

At just before 2:30 p.m. on April 10,  first responders from both sides of the Delaware River were dispatched near the Route 1 Bridge for a reported marine rescue.

Rescue crews arrived to find an overturned kayak with the operator in the water.

Emergency personnel launched and located the kayaker  just south of the railroad bridge, safely bringing him onboard.

He was transported to shore and evaluated by medics, MFC officials said.
