10/17/25
At approximately 7:20 pm police were dispatched for a retail theft that occurred at Acme Markets several days prior. As a result of the investigation, one male subject was identified and cited for retail theft.

At approximately 10:45 pm police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a potential hit-and-run and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
10/19/25
At approximately 2:00 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford E-250 work van operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Second Street Pike and Swamp Road in Wrightstown Township. As a result of the investigation, the operator was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.

At approximately 1:00 pm a Wrightstown Township resident responded to headquarters to report unauthorized use of her vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
10/22/25
At approximately 7:45 pm police were dispatched to Durham Road and Wrights Road for the report of a three-vehicle traffic accident. Upon contact with one of the operators, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
10/24/25
At approximately 2:25 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Lower Silver Lake Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
10/27/25
At approximately 6:30 pm Newtown Township Police Department, along with the Middletown Township Police Department, responded to a reported road rage-related shooting that occurred in the vicinity of the Newtown Bypass and Woodbourne Road. Both vehicles were reported to be traveling eastbound on the Newtown Bypass during the initial encounter and then south onto Woodbourne Road. A lone female operator in one vehicle was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the left wrist and is listed in stable condition. As a result of the shooting, flash information and description of the vehicle were broadcast over police radio, and within minutes, the suspect and vehicle were located at Washington Crossing Road (Route 532) and Stoopville Road, where he was taken into custody by members of the Newtown Township, Newtown Borough, Lower Makefield, and Pennsylvania State Police agencies. A firearm was also located and recovered and is currently being processed by the Newtown Township Police Criminal Investigation Division. As a result of the investigation, the suspect, Cristopher Corbi, 41, of Warrington, PA, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, propulsion of missiles into an occupied vehicle, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, tampering with evidence, simple assault, and criminal mischief.

At approximately 11:15 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F-250 pick-up truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug equipment were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

At approximately 1:25 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Rogue operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham Road and Wrights Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
10/30/25
At approximately 1:40 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Honda Pilot operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Summit Trace Road. As a result of the investigation, the vehicle was seized, and narcotic charges are pending a search warrant.
11/2/25
At approximately 12:05 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F-150 pick-up truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Washington Crossing Road and Saxony Drive. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
11/4/25
A Newtown Township resident responded to headquarters around 2:35 pm to report a fraud involving numerous forged checks. The incident is under investigation.
11/5/25
At approximately 7:15 pm police responded to the area of the 600 Block of Newtown Yardley Road for the report of a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, one male subject was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
