Newtown Township Police Reports – Sept 14 2025 – Oct 2 2025

September 14, 2025
At approximately 7:30 am police were dispatched for a theft of wire that occurred in Newtown Township. The investigation remains ongoing.

September 15, 2025
At approximately 11:00 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a KIA SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of State Street and Fountain Farm Lane. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug equipment were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

September 16, 2025
At approximately 6:15 pm police were dispatched for a theft of wire that occurred in Newtown Township. As a result of the investigation, one male subject was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, theft of secondary metal, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief.

September 19, 2025
At approximately 10:00 am a Newtown Township resident responded to headquarters to report a check fraud. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

September 20, 2025
At approximately 1:35 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota pick-up truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Campus Drive. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

At approximately 11:15 pm police conducted a traffic stop on an Audi SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham Road and Parsons Lane. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

September 24, 2025
At approximately 4:20 am police were dispatched for a burglary in Wrightstown Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Shortly before 3:00 pm, police were dispatched for a single vehicle into a building in the Village at Newtown Shopping Center. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

September 26, 2025
At approximately 9:40 am, officers from Lower Makefield Township Police and Newtown Township Police stopped a vehicle for numerous traffic violations. This led to a large police presence along the Newtown Bypass and Sycamore Street. The subject was ultimately taken into custody and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude officers, recklessly endangering another person, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and careless driving.

October 2, 2025
Police were dispatched to Ulta Beauty around 3:00 pm for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier in the week. The total value of loss was $687.
