October 6, 2025
At approximately 11:15 am police were dispatched for a theft of wire that occurred in Newtown Township. The investigation remains ongoing.
October 7, 2025
A Newtown Township resident responded to headquarters at 11:15 am to report that she was the victim of fraud. She had received a text from someone advising that her phone had been hacked. She called the phone number listed to resolve the matter and was instructed to purchase several gift cards from various locations. The total value of loss was approximately $10,500, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
October 8, 2025
A Newtown Township resident contacted police shortly before 6:00 pm to report a scam. The resident explained that he had received a phone call from someone who identified himself as “Sgt. White with the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.” “Sgt. White” told the resident that he missed court and that he needed to buy $3,000 worth of gift cards or a warrant would be issued for his arrest. The resident eventually realized it was a scam.
Police remind everyone to BE AWARE OF COMMON FRAUDSTER TECHNIQUES – if someone asks you to wire-transfer money or put money on a gift card and give them the gift card information, STOP! NEVER PAY SOMEBODY WITH A GIFT CARD OVER THE PHONE – gift cards are for gifts and should not be used to give money to scammers.
October 9, 2025
At approximately 1:45 pm, the Newtown Township Police responded to a business for the report of a retail theft. The incident is under investigation.
At approximately 2:40 pm, a Wrightstown resident reported the theft of copper wire from the utility poles in the area of their property.
October 10, 2025
At approximately 7:35 pm police were dispatched to a Newtown Township restaurant for the report of an assault. The incident is under investigation.

At approximately 6:15 am police were dispatched for a theft of wire that occurred in Newtown Township. The incident is under investigation.
October 12, 2025
At approximately 6:30 pm a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report fraudulent charges on their credit card. The account was closed, and the bank required a police report to reimburse the funds. The incident was documented, and the resident was advised to contact his banks, credit card companies, and credit bureaus to further monitor his accounts.
October 14, 2025
At approximately 6:30 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Lindenhurst Road. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
October 15, 2025
At approximately 6:30 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet sedan operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Rosefield Drive and Thornbury Lane. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
At approximately 12:45 pm police were dispatched to an office located in Newtown Township for the report of a theft. The incident is under investigation.
At approximately 4:15 pm a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report a scam. The resident explained that a “David Williams” called her mother advising her that she had won $7,000,000 and that she needs to deposit $10,000 into a Wells Fargo bank account to claim her winnings. The male also told her mother that an Uber would be coming to her residence to pick her up and take her to the bank. Police advised that this is a scam and to contact police and not answer the door should someone arrive at her residence.
