Newtown Township Police Reports – April 10 2026 – April 16 2026
4/12/26
At approximately 4:00 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Tundra operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham Road and Brownsburg Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
4/13/26
At approximately 6:00 pm police conducted a traffic stop on an Acura RDX operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Campus Drive. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
4/14/26
At approximately 12:15 pm police were notified of a theft from a construction site in Newtown Township. The total value of loss was $900.00.
At approximately 12:30 pm a Newtown Township resident responded to headquarters to report fraudulent charges on her account. The incident was documented, and the resident was advised to contact her banks, credit card companies, and credit bureaus to further monitor the accounts.
4/15/26
At approximately 10:45 am police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a theft from a mailbox. Approximately $50 was taken from birthday cards, and the incident was documented.
4/16/26
At approximately 10:45 am police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a fraud. The incident was referred to the Detective Division for further investigation.
